MAUI Hybridization Chamber

The MAUI (Micro Array User Interface) hybridization system from BioMicro Systems provides regulated temperature and sample mixing for arrays fabricated on 1" x 3" microscope slides. This instrument is recommended by NimbleGen for processing their microarrays, but it can also be used for arrays from a number of other manufacturers. More information about the device is provided in the system brochure. The MAUI hybridization chamber in the Expression Analysis core has four spaces and is available for use provided a Genome Center account has been set up (this can be done here, or through the "Log In" button to the left) and you have been appropriately trained (additional important info on training is found on our "Equipment" web site). Please contact us well in advance of your experiment to make sure spaces are available. Fees are based on the annual training fee and two instrument use fees for each overnight use, for any number of arrays (up to four). MAUI hybridization chambers suitable for use with NimbleGen products are also available through our core. Other chamber configurations for use with other array platforms are available for purchase from BioMicro Systems, more information can be found on their web site.
