To get to the Genome Biomedical Sciences Facility:

Eastbound/Westbound on I-80

1. Take the 113 N Woodland exit off I-80 (eastbound it’s a few miles after the Dixon exits, westbound it’s immediately after Davis-Richards Blvd and Mondavi Center exits).

2. Take the first exit off 113 N which is Hutchison Dr. and turn R (east), then take the first turn at the first signal on the right, which is Health Sciences Dr. (right before the stadium).

3. Health Sciences Dr. soon splits: you can bear right and curve around the new, six-story Genome Biomedical Sciences Facility on your left (GBSF). Parking is available at the back of GBSF in Lots 53 and 57, after the USDA building. One-day parking permits ($6) need to be purchased from one of the yellow dispensing machines, towards the center of the lots.   You can also continue straight and try to park in the lot at the front of the building (E side). You will need to get a permit here from the yellow machine as well.

4. Enter the GBSF from the front of the building (east side, next to the Cafe). Take the elevators, located to the right of the front entrance, to the 4th floor.

5. The DNA Technologies Core and Expression Analysis Core are housed in the first set of labs as you exit the elevator (look for the sign on the door), room number 4212A.

Call Charlie at (530) 754-5281 (lab) or 304-1163 (cell) if you run into any problems (not counting traffic).

To get to the Genome Biomedical Sciences Facility:

From Sacramento Airport

1. Take I-5 N towards Woodland (follow the Redding signs coming out of the airport, don’t go to Sacramento).  Take the Woodland downtown/Main St. exit (it's the 2nd Woodland exit on I-5 N, also look for signs to "Davis" and "113").  After exiting, take a left onto Main St (west).  You first pass underneath I-5, then soon after go under another overpass (this is 113), just past McDonalds.

2. Turn left onto 113 S immediately after this 2nd overpass and go about 9 miles to the Hutchison exit (next exit after Russell Blvd.).  Turn left off the Hutchison exit ramp.  Turn right at the first traffic signal, soon after crossing 113--you’ll see greenhouses ahead of you on the left, stadium is just across this intersection to your right.  This is Health Sciences Dr.
